Schedule Control
Scheduling Option Sets:
Each possible schedule is called an option set in Synergy SIS. Each
option set can either use the regular Scheduler or the Master Schedule
Builder. When creating an option set with Master Schedule Builder, there
is also an option to create multiple simulations within the option set.
Each simulation can use a different set of rules, but all simulations
within an option set use the same set of subject categories and subject
category attributes. Therefore, it is recommend to create a new
option set when trying a new set of subject categories and/or subject
category attributes, but to use different simulations when trying a different
set of rules.
Use the Schedule Control screen to create or copy an option set and
screen the results of running a schedule with the desired option set.
Unlimited number of scheduling option sets and runs may be
maintained and processed.
Option sets are strategies of schedules that have been created
and processed against student course requests and selected rules and
options.
Trial runs of the schedule option sets may be saved, copied,
modified and deleted.
Stats are maintained for each scheduling run.
Sections, rules and options may be different for each option
set.
Student schedule requests are constant in all option sets.
Class Board may be opened through Schedule Control.
There are two types of option sets, Scheduler and Master Schedule
Builder.
