Mass Scheduling Preparation
Before the mass scheduling process, setup must be complete.
School Setup
If using Period 0 within School Setup, it
will be referenced in MSB as Period 1. MSB reflects the sequence
not the actual period number defined with Synergy SIS. The Load
Simulation process will not change the MSB periods to match the periods
defined within School Setup. It is recommended that 0 hour not be
defined within School Setup at this time.
Terms must be defined in School Setup.
School Scheduling Options
The options selected within the Section
Options and House/Team/Exclusion tabs within School Scheduling Options
are not referenced during the initial processes of MSB. These are only
referenced during the Load Simulation.
The selections made within the Course Request/Walk
In Options group box is referenced during the input and maintenance of
student course requests. Course Request and Walk In Option tab.
District Course
Course Duration defaults for each course within MSB.
Term Set Definition must be defined for
the generic term definition if used (SX, QTR,) in District Course. Explain
in detail where this is
This is the Schedule Priority within the
Section Attribute within the School Category. Schedule Priority
may be modified on the Subject Category and Course Level within MSB.
The Department within District Course creates
the different Subject Categories within MSB.
Staff
Assign each teacher staff to a department on the Schools tab
of Staff.
Badge Number is required for MSB.
School Room
Each room must be defined and have a department assigned.
Each room must have a room type defined.
Student Course Requests
Student course requests must be entered.
