Master Builder Option Set  

Best practice is for the main person responsible for schedule to check out option set. This eliminates anyone else from processing schedule for option set. Other users may make changes to course requests and schedule sections within checked out option set..

• Click . User name is reflected in Currently Checked Out To.  Schedule Option Set may be edited. No one else can edit set except user listed.

• Click when finished.

• Click on Student bar. Add Student BOs screen displays.

• Click BO Name and select the business object in which the property is located, such as Student SOREnrollment.

• Click Property Name and select a name such as SchedHouse.

• Click . Property displays on grid..

• Click  on Staff bar. Add Staff BOs screen displays.

• Click BO Name and select.

• Click Property Name and select.

• Click . The property is added to the Staff section.

• Click  on Room bar. Add School Room BOs displays.

• Click BO Name and select.

• Click Property Name and select.

• Click . The property is added to the Room section.

• Click on Term Set Definition bar. A blank line is added to grid.

• Enter Code and Description of the set.

• Enter Total Terms in this set.

• Enter the term code number (from the Term Definitions in the School Setup screen) for Start Term and End Term.

• Click Term Code and select.

• Click .

The Staff Role Type as set for each staff in the Staff screen, is used to indicate which staff members can be assigned to courses as teachers.

• Check appropriate Staff Role Type. This limits the automatic assignment of teachers, but does not change the list of staff displayed when using the Chooser in a category.
