PreID
Extract Options:
Pre-Identification
(PreID) is a statewide assessment pre-identification process. In this
process, districts and/or schools send required student information to
the test vendor in advance for them to "pre-plug" onto test
answer documents or to create labels for test documents. Synergy SIS can
extract the required information for each student to create the Pre-ID
file, which is submitted to the test vendor.
Use the PreID screen to create a CAHSEE, CELDT, STAR Multiple Choice,
STAR Writing,or STAR EAP PreID extract file.
NOTE: Prior to running any
extract verify Organization, District and School setup information.
The
California High School Exit Examination (CAHSEE) is a test all high school
students must pass to earn a high school diploma. Students first take
this test in grade ten. If they do not pass the test in grade ten, they
have more chances to take the test. In grade eleven, they can take the
test two times. In grade twelve, they have up to five times to take the
test. The (CAHSEE) extract is for students in grades 10 – AE (Adult Student)
who are currently enrolled. The extract enforces this rule. By default
the initial set of students which this rule is applied to is all students
in the district. The Test Extract Group option is used to reduce this
initial set.
Students
in kindergarten through grade twelve whose home language is not English
are required by law to take an English skills test. In California, this
test is the California English Language Development Test (CELDT). The
CELDT extract is for English Language Learners in grades Kindergarten
– 12 who are currently enrolled. An English Learner is defined as a student
who does not have their home language set to English. The extract enforces
this rule. By default the initial set of students which this rule is applied
to is all students in the district. The Test Extract Group option (mandatory
option) is used to reduce this initial set.
Each spring, students in grades two through eleven take the Standardized
Testing and Reporting (STAR) test to see how well schools and students
are performing. Students take tests in math, reading, writing, science,
and history. The (STAR) extract is divided into three different versions:
STAR Multiple Choice, STAR Writing, and STAR Early Assessment Program
(EAP). The multiple choice and writing versions have addition options
that are required.
