Walk In Schedule

NOTE: When inserting multiple Course or Section IDs or combinations of both, always separate each with a comma.

• Enter Course ID in Quick Add.

• Type Enter Date (MMDDYY) or click and select.

• Click . Course request displays in Manually Schedule Student grid with available sections in darker color.

• Check desired class section available. (checkbox in darker color)

• Again, type Enter Date (MMDDYY) or click and select.

• Click . Student is now enrolled in new section.

• Click , if desired.

NOTE: Multiple Course ID entries will display in Manually Schedule Student grid.  For each class complete process as described above.

OR

• Enter Section ID in Quick Add.

• Type Enter Date (MMDDYY) or click and select.

• Click . Section will be added to student’s schedule.

• Click , if desired.

NOTE: Multiple Section ID entries will add to student’s schedule. Complete process as described above.

OR

• Select sections using list of existing course requests displayed in Manually Schedule Student grid.

• Check desired class section available. (checkbox in darker color)

• Type Enter Date (MMDDYY) or click and select.

• Click . Student is now enrolled in new section(s).

• Click , if desired.

• Click checked box in class section to deselect.

• Enter Drop Date or click and select.

• Click . Class is dropped from student’s schedule.  

NOTE:  Course request will remain in list.

• Take note of legend at bottom of screen for an explanation of color coding of blocks. Gray blocks indicate which section student is currently scheduled into.

• Where there is more than one section available, section displayed in grid is section with best availability for balancing and section that Section Scheduler would have selected.

• Clicking on course link opens District Course screen with additional details about course.

• Those sections that meet on several different meeting days will show all periods, regardless of section meeting period, in 0 period column.

• Quick Placement screen obeys setting in Class Size Limit field on School Scheduling Options screen.

• Click on Display Preferences bar to view.

• Show Info :  Determine where options selected below will be viewed. Options are In Cell, In Cell and Mouse Over, Mouse Over and None.  *Note:  Selecting ‘None’ will override any checkboxes selected and no information will show in cell or mouse over.

• Show Class Max Size:  Section max class size will display.

• Show Totals By Gender:  Totals will display for both Male and Female students enrolled in section.

• Show Open Seats:  Number of open seats in section will display.

• Show Room:  Room assigned to section will display.

• Show Section ID:  Section ID of class listed in cell will display.

• Show Teacher:  Teacher assigned to section will display.

• Show Labels:  Labels that identify options will display.

• Show Multiclass Indicator:  An * (asterisk) displays in cell indicating there is more than one course section that meets during that period and term.

• Show Schedule Summary by Term:  Schedule will be separated by terms as defined in Term Definitions (Synergy SIS>System>School Setup).

• Sort/Group by :  Select how courses should be sorted on screen. Options are Course Id and Term and Period.
