Choose label type and adjust label settings on Label Setup tab. Obtain
specific label dimensions from box containing labels or from label manufacturer.
Use illustration on view as a reference to fields on view.
Top Margin, Label Height, Side Margin, Label Width, Vertical Pitch,
Number Across, Horizontal Pitch, Number Down, Page Size and Page Orientation
should only be adjusted if printing custom labels or if after testing,
commercial labels need a slight adjustment.
Top Margin(in.) is distance between top
of first label on sheet and top edge of sheet.
Side Margin (in.)
is distance between left side of first label on sheet and left
edge of sheet.
Vertical Pitch(in.) is distance between
top edge of first label and top edge of label directly below it.
Horizontal Pitch(in.) is distance between
left edge of first label and left edge of label directly to right
of it.
Label Height (in.)
is distance between top edge and bottom edge of a label.
Label Width (in.)
is distance between left edge and right edge of a label.
Number Across is
for a label sheet that is 8.5 inches wide by 11 inches long, this
value represents number of labels along short edge (8.5 inches)
of sheet.
Number Down is
for a label sheet that is 8.5 inches wide by 11 inches long, this
value represents number of labels along long edge (11 inches)
of sheet.
Click Page Size
and select
appropriate page size.
NOTE: Alternate page types
can be defined in Page Size Detail view.
Click Page Orientation
and select appropriate
page orientation.
Enter Row Height.
This indicates the height text is in each row of information on
each label, regardless of font size. If font is larger than height
allotted, it will be cut off.
Enter Row Space.
This indicates amount of blank space between each row of text
on each label. If these are left blank, system calculates these
values automatically based on size of label.
Check Scale Fields
to have fields in label shrink or expand to fit selected label
size.
A minimum Font Size(in pts) can be specified,
also.
Click . Job
Status view opens. View will refresh regularly (
will blink) until job is complete.
NOTE: Important PDF Print
Setup
Click File in PDF
software.
Click Print. PDF
Print view opens.
Click Page Scaling:
, select None.
Deselect Auto-Rotate and
Center.
FAILURE TO HAVE THESE VALUES SET PROPERLY MAY RESULT IN MISALIGNED
LABELS.
