District Setup

Enrollment Options

These options control how students are added and transferred within Synergy SIS. The selections made impact state data reporting and New Year Rollover and should be customized to individual district policy.

Disable Add, Drop, and Transfer

These options control when student enrollments can be modified..  

Address Options

Address Options determine how student and parent addresses are checked within Synergy SIS.

Bulk Mailing

Postage Text appears as the default postage label on several reports throughout Synergy SIS

Grading Setup

Grading Setup settings control when classes are available to be graded.

Other Options influence a variety of areas within Synergy SIS.

Discipline Type & Incident Violation Display

The Discipline Type & Incident Violation Display control the default display of discipline incidents.

Student Notification

Student Notifications are displayed at the top of every student-focused screen to indicate a special condition such as a custody issue of which staff should be aware. This drop-down controls the type of notification displayed. For more information about setting up notifications, please refer to the Synergy SIS – Student Information Administrator Guide.

Badge Number Update Type

This option selects how badge numbers are created for staff.

Disable Unique State Number

By default, the state number assigned to each student must be unique. The student record cannot be saved if the state number is duplicated. However, if duplicates exist in the previous student information system, it may be necessary to turn this off during the conversion to Synergy SIS until the duplicate information is fixed. Fee Total Type

This option sets up how student fees are totaled. For more information about setting up student fees, please see the Synergy SIS – Student Information Administrator Guide.

Allow Negative Seat Totals  

This option controls whether students can be enrolled in a section that is full.

Enable historical tracking of staff  in sections

Check this option to allow for synchronization of historical staff information. This option is accessed from Schedule>Section menu.

Validate Student Classes

As classes are assigned to students, Synergy SIS can verify that class schedules do not overlap. This option controls how class schedules are verified.

Student Profile Report Release Statement

This is displayed on the Student Profile Report.

Class Attendance Signature Text

This is displayed on the STU409 – Class Roster report.

State Reporting

State Reporting contains test type filters and other test options.

SIS Data Import Options

This section provides the ability to send and email notification to a district representative about a SIS Data Import Error and to send an XML attachment with it.

Graduation Requirements

Graduation Requirements provides the option to enable verified credit.
