If no other match is found or if required number of credits have
already been met for a course’s primary subject area(s), credit is
applied to Default Subject Area. Usually Default Subject Area is set
to Electives .

Courses can be restricted to filter a particular course history
type.

If an overall filter for all courses has been set (see Options
tab), subject area filter is used in addition to overall filter. Example:
If overall criteria has been set to Middle School and High School
courses, but a only Middle School course counts towards the Fine Arts
subject area, the Middle School type should be selected under the
Fine Arts subject area.
NOTE: Subject Area must
be checked on Class of Test Groups tab, Graduation Test Result Class
Requirements grid, for a test to be available to subject area.

In addition to filtered by subject , courses can be filtered overall.
Courses can be set to filters by Alt Types, Grade Ranges,and Passing
Marks. These filters work in conjunction with CHS filters and WIP
Filter set on Options tab.
Restrict courses to courses defined with a specific Alt Type.

line is added to Alt Types grid.
Click Alt Type and select.

Examples of alternate types of courses that may be selected would
be college courses or middle school courses.
Credit Messages are overall messages defined for each grade-level
regarding credits completed or attempted.They are displayed on Student
Graduation Check Report, in addition to subject area messages.
