Graduation Requirements

Overview:

Use Graduation Requirements screen to create and modify Graduation Requirement Definitions. Different groups of students may have different graduation requirements. Create separate graduation requirement definitions in Synergy SIS to accommodate this. Synergy SIS can separate state requirements from district requirements, as well.

There are mainly four different types of requirements may be set as part of graduation requirements – Credit, Test, GPA, and Service Learning. Credit is the main requirement which can be broken down into specific credit requirements by subject.  Passing marks needed to meet requirements may be defined. Some states have a test that must be passed in order to graduate in that state.  A test requirement may be defined to specify what tests must be passed to complete graduation requirement. GPA requirement allows districts to define a minimum GPA to graduate, and schools may incorporate a requirement for students to complete a certain amount of service learning hours before graduation.
