School Fee Codes

• Click Fee Total Type and select how fees will be displayed and summarized. The choices are: Total fees for focus organization and year,Total fees for focus year, or Total fees for all years and all organizations.

NOTE: Fee Total Type can be set using District Setup screen, also.

• Click . A new blank line displays on grid.

• Enter Fee Code.

• Enter a Fee Description.

• Click Fee Category and select.

NOTE: It is important to include a payment type for each category of fees so that fees and payments balance correctly. For instance, if Course is a category, add a School Fee Code for Payment of Course Fees.

• Enter Fee Amount  for standardized fee, if appropriate.

• Check Allow Proration if reducing a portion of the fee is permissible. For example, a student may have entered school in the last month of a semester and this is a lab fee. They would be charged this fee based upon the amount of time left in the semester. the Enrollment Proration Fee method is set at the district level.

• Check Allow Program Waivers, if appropriate.

• Check if this is an Enrollment Fee. An enrollment fee is a fee not tied to a specific course or class.

• Enter code in General Ledger Account, if there is such an account associated with fee.

• Repeat steps for each new fee.

• Click .

NOTE: School Fee Total Type does not override Fee Total Type set at district level. If Total Type is changed at any school, it changes it at district level, not at the school level.
