Click .
Enter Last Name, First Name or Perm ID.
Click . Student's name will display.

OR

Enter partial or complete data in any yellow field. An asterisk (*) wildcard can be used as a substitute for any or all characters.

Click . A list of possible matches displays.
Click line of student name.

NOTE: If name is not viewable after search, scroll to bottom of page and click to progress to next page.

Close window.
Type Incident Date (MM/DD/YY) or click and select date. Default is today's date.
Click Description and select.
Enter Incident Time.
Enter name of person referring student in Referred By.
Click Staff Name and select staff member administering disciplinary process.
Click .

OR

Click to cancel operation without adding a new record.

Record Additional Information

Click line number of appropriate record.
Click .
Enter Referral Date (MM/DD/YY) or click and select date.
Enter Location of incident
Click Incident Context and choose time period incident occurred.
Enter number of Demerits assigned to this student as a result of this incident. Demerits can either be manually entered or calculated based on setup of discipline code selected.
Enter Comment. This will be viewable in ParentVUE and StudentVUE.
Click to spell check.
Click for additional space.
Enter Private Comment. This will not be viewable in ParentVUE or StudentVUE, but will be viewable by other school staff.
Click to spell check.
Click for additional space.
Check Incident Explained to Student if incident was discussed with student.

Record a Disposition – A disposition is an action taken as a result of an incident, such as detention or suspension.

Click on Disposition title bar.
Click Disposition and select type.
Enter Disposition Date (MM/DD/YY) or click and select date.
Enter Disposition End Date (MM/DD/YY) or click and select date.

Enter Duration or length of disposition in hours.

OR

Enter length of disposition in number of Days.

Click Staff Name and select person responsible for processing disciplinary action.
Click ATR and select attendance code used if action results in a student absence.
Click .

OR

Click to cancel operation without adding a new record.

NOTE: Click in column title to sort ascending or descending.

Edit Discipline Record

Main screen

Edit directly on line of desired record.
Click .

Detailed screen

Click if information that needs to be changed is not displayed on main screen.
Click line of discipline record to edit. Record highlights.
All white fields are editable.
Click when complete.

OR

Click to cancel operation without changing record.

Delete Discipline Record

NOTE: All disposition records must be deleted first prior to deleting the discipline record itself.

Click line of discipline record to delete. Line will highlight.
Click to see disposition records.
Check on line of disposition record to delete.
Click .
Check on line of discipline record to delete.

Menu Options

Reports will print a Student Discipline Profile report for student currently displayed in screen.

NOTE: Run report from Reports folder to select additional options or to print report for a group of students instead of an individual student.

Report Preferences opens UserPreferences, Reports Pref tab where report preferences may be selected.
View Audit Detail For Student Discipline lists all changes made to student’s discipline records, what was changed, who changed it, and date and time change was made.

Print Disciplinary Action Form

Click line number of discipline incident to highlight.

Print Disciplinary Action Form Cover Letter

Click .
Click Merge Document and select type of letter such as detention or expulsion.
Click Merge Language and select either student’s home language or primary language (as entered on Student screen) to use for letter. Letter is in PDF format.
Click .

Print Disciplinary Action Form

Leave Merge Document and Merge Language blank.
Click .

Discipline:

Use the Discipline tab to view a list of all discipline records that have been entered at the current school during the current year. Enter/edit discipline records and print a Disciplinary Action Form on this tab.

Tasks

Adding Discipline Records

There are two ways to add a discipline record on this screen..

Use to quickly record a discipline record. Once saved, details may be added later.

Use to record a detailed discipline record. Help for this procedure can be found in Student Discipline Detail Add
