To change district name

Click Sample School District. A view displays listing all information about district.
Enter Organization Name actual name of district.
Enter District Number as assigned by state. This is used during uploads to state data collection system.
Enter County Code for district’s county as assigned by state.
Enter Address Information, Phone, & Website URL in spaces provided. This information can be automatically printed on reports.

District logo can be uploaded to Synergy SIS to be used both on screen and in printed reports in Images section.

Three different logos can be uploaded – Printed logo, Title logo, and Login logo. Printed logo is image displayed on reports. School and other organization logos may appear on reports (Printed logos), but Title and Login logos are always district logo.

Title logo is logo that appears at top of Synergy SIS window

Login logo is logo that appears on Login page.

To upload each logo,

Click . Attach view displays.
Click to locate logo file. File may be jpg or png format.
Click .

To remove current logo

District Setup Options opens District Setup view in a separate window.

To add organizations underneath district

Click name of district
Click Action… .

To add a group

Select Add Organization to District.

To add a school

Select Add School to District.

When adding an organization such as Elementary Schools, Virtual Root view opens.

Enter Organization Name.
Enter Organization Abbr Name a shorter version of name for reports.
Enter District of Service number for this organization.
Enter Address and Phone Information for this organization.

When Add Organization option is chosen, new organization is added to selected organization by default.

To change this

Select organization level immediately above new organization from Parent Organization .
Click .

A logo may be uploaded for this organization after organization has been saved.

Click . Attach view displays.

To remove current logo

When Add School to (Name) School District is chosen, School view opens

Enter School Name.
Enter a shorter version of name for reports in Abbr School Name.
Enter School Code. A numeric code assigned to school in Synergy SIS. This is generally same number used in previous student information system, and same as last three digits of number assigned to school by state.
Click School Type . These types may be customized by modifying lookup table School Type, found under K12 namespace.
Click next to Principal Name to enter name of principal for school if staff names have been entered into Synergy SIS.
Enter Address, Phone and Fax information for school.
Enter Counselor Dept Phone if guidance office has a separate phone number
Enter Website URL. This information will be displayed on various Synergy SIS reports.
Enter SIS School Code. This is numeric code assigned to school in previous school information system. This code is used to match information in previous system to new school during data conversion. This is generally same as last three digits of number assigned to school by state.
Enter full State CTDS Code for school. This is used to upload data to state reporting system.
Enter Alt Funding School Code if school is eligible for alternative funding from state.
Check Live in Synergy SIS if school is no longer active in previous student information system and all data is now modified in Synergy SIS.
Check Hide Organization from General View to remove organization from Chooser and Find results and prevent it from being selected as an option in all data entry points through Synergy SIS. It will still be available through focus.

By default, new school is added to organization that was selected when Add Organization option was selected. To change this, select organization level immediately above new school from Parent Organization .

Enter Head Nurse Email, if appropriate.
Enter Safety Specialist Email, if appropriate.
Click .
