English Language Learners

• Click .

• Enter Last Name, First Name or Perm ID.

• Click . Student's name will display.

• Select ELL Test . Test year may be a year previous to current school year.  Test year indicates year test definition was created, and it does not have to match current school year.

• Click . Student ELL Test Detail opens.

• Enter Admin Date (MM/DD/YY) or click and select date. Default is today’s date.

• Click  next to School Name. Find Foreign Key screen opens.

•  Enter partial or complete school name.

• Click . A list of records matching criteria displays.

• Click anywhere on appropriate record to highlight.

• Click . Student ELL Test Detail displays school name.

• Click Performance Level and select.

• Enter Scale Score for appropriate test part.

NOTE:  Acceptable test scores fall in between 100-997. If student did not complete that part of test, enter 998.  If student is classified as Continuing FEP (Fluent English Proficient), enter 999.

• Click . Student ELL Test Detail  closes.

• Click Result Code and select. Result code indicates student’s overall ELL classification. Possible values are:

• • English Language Learner (ELL) – Overall result of test is not proficient.

  • ELL After Reclassification (ELLAR) – Student was previously classified as proficient, but latest test results show student is not proficient.

  • Initial Fluent English Proficient (IFEP) – Test results show student is proficient in English.

  • Reclassified Fluent English Proficient (RFEP) – Student was previously classified as not proficient, but latest test results show student is proficient.

  • Continuing Fluent English Proficient (CFEP) – Student was previously classified as proficient and latest test results show student is still proficient in English language.

• Click .

Edit Test Details

• Admin Date, Grade, and Result Code may be edited directly on ELL Assessment grid.

• Check Exclude From SAIS, if appropriate.

• Click .

Edit Scores/ Change School Name

• Click on line of assessment. Student ELL Test detail opens.

• Click   next to School Name. Find Foreign Key screen opens.

•  Enter partial or complete school name.

• Click . A list of records matching criteria displays.

• Click anywhere on appropriate record to highlight.

• Click . Student ELL Test Detail displays school name.

• Click Performance Level and select a different level, if desired.

• Highlight Scale Score and type new Scale Score for appropriate test part, if desired.

• Click . Student Ell Test Detail  closes.

Delete Assessment

• Check  on line of assessment to delete.

• Click .
