This process reduces the time needed to configure the new year, as most configurations are the same from year-to-year. Once copied to the new year, the setup information can be manually edited and changed as usual. If a setup will be drastically different in the new year, it may be easier to not copy the file and start from scratch.

Configuration files for all schools in district can be copied at one time,with exception. Two separate definitions should be created for configuration files – one for elementary and one for secondary if sections (or any other file) are copied for elementary schools, but not for secondary schools.
Enter all or part of School Name. Schools can be located by Live In Synergy SIS or Zipcode, also.

If a file is copied that has not been setup in current year, it will just create a blank setup as in current year. If setup in new year has been changed for a file, it will not be updated by this process and any manually configuration views will remain same.
NOTE: Some configuration files need are treated differently.
District: Grid – schools that use a grid-based assignment for the next school assignment must copy this configuration file.
School: School Team SPED – this is generally Synergy SE, only.
School: Section – typically this is not copied for high schools since sections are created during Mass Scheduling process for next school year.
Student: WebMethods NYRProcess UI – this is for schools in Virginia only, and should not be processed by other states.
Synergy SE-only schools must copy at least School: School Grade, School: School Setup Tracks, and School: Staff School Year files.
