Integration Organization Setup

Options:

Use the Integration Organization Setup screen to add, edit, and delete organizations that are to be included in the software integration between the previous Student Information System and the Synergy™ Student Information System software.

Options Tab Notes

Data in the Organization Name and School Type fields is used by the SASIxp* Conversion software application.

Data in the Path to SIS Data Files and Next Available SIS Number fields is used by the Back to SASIxp software application.

The most significant digit in the Old SIS Number field signifies the school year; the three digits to its right signifies the school number.

In the Path to SIS Data Files field, enter the server location that contains the SIS data files for use by the Back to SASIxp software application.

The SASIxp Conversion software application automatically populates the Next Available SIS Number field. This field can be edited manually, if desired.

The Synergy SIS software uses the value in the Next Available SIS Number field when adding new students to the database.

Tasks

Click focus
Select district name and school year
Click.
Click on Action Bar at top. Integration Organization Setup Add screen opens.
Type school year
Click Extension and select option.
Click . Integration Organization Setup Add screen closes.

Click . Find Result screen opens.
Locate desired school year and extension.
Double-click line containing school year and extension. Find Result screen closes.
Click on Integration Options group box. Find Foreign Key screen opens.
If known, enter Organization Name.
Click .

If Organization is not shown

Click page number at bottom of grid until found.
Click line of Organization to highlight
Click . A row is added to Integration Options grid and adds Organization to grid.
Click School Type .
Select School Type associated with selected organization in Organization Name.
Type Old SIS Number.
Click Conversion Server .
Select desired conversion server.
Enter Path to SIS Data Files (server location of the Student Information System data files)
If desired, enter Next Available SIS Number.
Click .

Tasks

Add a School Year and Extension Definition to Database

Click focus

Select district name and school year

Click.

Click on Action Bar at top. Integration Organization Setup Add screen opens.

Type school year

Click Extension and select option.

Click . Integration Organization Setup Add screen closes.

Add Organizations to Include in Software Integration

Click . Find Result screen opens.

Locate desired school year and extension.

Double-click line containing school year and extension. Find Result screen closes.

Click on Integration Options group box. Find Foreign Key screen opens.

If known, enter Organization Name.

Click .

If Organization is not shown

Click page number at bottom of grid until found.

Click line of Organization to highlight

Click . A row is added to Integration Options grid and adds Organization to grid.

Click School Type .

Select School Type associated with selected organization in Organization Name.

Type Old SIS Number.

Click Conversion Server .

Select desired conversion server.

Enter Path to SIS Data Files (server location of the Student Information System data files)

If desired, enter Next Available SIS Number.

Click .

Edit Organization Information to Include in Software Integration

Click Organization Name to edit address, phone, or logo information.

Select criteria from the appropriate or edit information directly in field.

Click .
