Civil Rights Data Collection - LEA - Additional Setup

• From the appropriate website, locate the NCES District ID and School ID for each organization.

• Navigate to Synergy SIS > System > Setup > Organization. The Organization screen opens.

• On the Organization screen, navigate to District Information.

• Enter the NCES District ID number into the NCES District Number field.

• On the Organization screen, navigate to each school organization.

• Enter the last 5 digits of the NCES School ID into the NCES School Number. These are the numbers following the NCES District Number in the NCES School ID field

• enter the NCES School Number.  This value is the numbers after the NCES District Number value in the NCES School ID field

• Click .

• Navigate to Synergy SIS > System > Setup > Lookup Table Definition. The Lookup Table Definition screen displays.

• On the Lookup Table Definition screen, navigate to K12 > Graduation Status.  The Graduation Status lookup table displays.

• Enter GED in the Alt Code 3 column for any GED graduation status in the table.

• Click .

• Navigate to Synergy SIS > Student Programs > Setup > Needs/Program Definition. The Programs/Levels Definition screen opens.  

• Click The Programs/Levels Definition Add screen displays.

• Enter the appropriate information for the GED program.

• Click

• Navigate to Synergy SIS > Student Programs > Student Needs. The Student Needs screen displays.

• Use to find a student who participated in a GED program.

• Click Programs and select the name of the GED program.

• Click The Student Program Add screen opens.

• Enter the appropriate information for this student’s program enrollment.

• Click . Students enrolled in the program are included in the extract.

Navigate to Synergy SIS > System > Setup > Lookup Table Definition.  The Lookup Table Definition screen displays.

On the Lookup Table Definition screen, navigate to K12.TestInfo > Test Groups.  The Test Group lookup table displays.

Enter “CE” in the Alt Code 3 column for any College Entrance test groups in the table.

Click Save.

Click the Course Setup button on the Civil Rights Data Collection – LEA screen.  The Course Setup screen displays.

NOTE: Complete the Course Subject Area Setup tab first, then proceeded to the Math tab, and then the Science tab.  Do not select other tabs out of order.  Doing so will result in incorrect screen population, since the tabs are processed in a specific order.
