Enrollment Maintenance
Overview:
In rare instances, it may be necessary to edit the enrollment information for a student outside the Student screen. Editing the enrollment information outside the Student screen bypasses the validation built-in to the Student screen, which allows the enrollment to be switched to another school or year. However, editing the enrollment in this manner can cause severe problems, and must be approached with care.
Student records should only be deleted in rare cases. Most of the time, students should be withdrawn or no showed instead. The main reason when a student record would be deleted is when a student has mistakenly been entered in the system twice. However, deleting one of these duplicate records may remove needed data that would then need to be re-entered. The Enrollment Maintenance screen can correct errors in the enrollment records that cannot be fixed using the standard process of withdrawing and activating students.
