Use School Calendar tab to define the year calendar at school level. Add holidays and vacations specific to a school that are different than a district calendar.
Check Use District Calendar to use district calendar. Calendar Type and Dates used for District Calendar are shown. If dates and type are not displayed, district calendar has not been created for school’s calendar type.
Use different dates than district calendar
Enter Start Date (MM/DD/YY) or click and select date.
Enter End Date (MM/DD/YY) or click and select date.
Click Default Bell Schedule and select.
Check Fill Rotating Days Skipping Over Holidays to have rotation automatically assigned to calendar, with rotation skipping over holidays.
Check Fill Rotating Days Holidays Count As Rotation Day to have rotation automatically assigned to calendar, with holidays counting as a rotation day.
Check No Fill option to clear rotation.
Click . Default bell schedule is assigned to every day of calendar when calendar is created. Another bell schedule may be defined in Bell Schedule Definition screen if some days do not follow default bell schedule.
Click in Bell column next to date to be modified, to assign a special bell schedule to appropriate days in school calendar.
Click in Type column and select type of non-school day to add holidays and vacations specific to school that are different than district calendar,
Options available are Holiday, Vacation, Staff Development, Non-School Day, or Other. Days can also be marked as Emergency Closure Day(Approved) or (Unapproved), or Supplemental.

Steps to create a school calendar must be repeated for every school in district.
NOTE: Once initial calendars are created for district and schools, calendars for subsequent years may be created by copying these initial calendars. This is done through New Year Rollover process.
