Comment Bank

Select subject in Filter by Subject.

Select Generic Comments (Not related to any subject) to make comment available in all report card areas.

Click .
Enter Comment in English comment box.
Click Check Spelling to spell check.
Enter Comment in Spanish comment box.

NOTE: You can use place the following student name or pronoun placeholder codes in your comments and the system will replace the appropriate name or pronoun text.

<<He>> <<She>> <<him>> <<her>> <<his>>

<<Name>> <<Userswap>> <<userswap>>

For example, <<Name>> was a pleasure to have in class.

The Swap Type field on the Mass Assign Comments screen exchanges either the Name or the Pronoun placeholders in the comment. The “Userswap” placeholders enable you to use both a Name and Pronoun placeholder in the same sentence.

For example, I hope <<Userswap>> has a good summer. <<He>> was a pleasure to have in class.

Click Translate to Spanish to translate English comment to Spanish. (optional)
Select the Start Date and End Date. (optional)
Click
Click Back to Students List to return to Report Card screen.

Hover your mouse on comment to edit. The delete/edit option displays.
Click the edit option.

Edit Comment in English comment box.
Click Check Spelling to spell check.
Edit Comment in Spanish comment box.

Comment Bank

Report card comments are stored in the Comment Bank. They can be used to enter comments on a single student’s report card or en masse.

Access the Comment Bank screen either directly by clicking Report Card, then Comment Bank or from the Students screen by clicking Edit Comment Bank in the upper right corner.

NOTE: Districts have the ability to customize TeacherVUE. Some screens and/or some of the options on a screen may not be available. In addition, the name of a screen and/or the location of a screen may differ from the name and location described on these help pages.

Add Comments to Comment Bank
